This workshop is divided into 5 sections. Part 1 provides an overview of the role of an editor, which is the first hurdle to getting published. Part 2 discusses how to run an internal review process to ensure that your manuscript has the best chance of passing in-depth review. Part 3 includes details for following the 5 golden rules in scientific writing. Part 4 breaks down drafting a manuscript into an easy to follow formula with 9 steps. Part 5 presents a behind-the-scenes look at what happens after submission to a journal, including how reviewers are selected and decisions made.
This workshop runs 1-2 days. Shorter workshops covering only a subset of the sections are possible.
